Dublin 2 Garden re-Design

Client Brief

The brief for the redesign of this large garden in the heart of Dublin’s city centre was to create a haven in keeping with the beautiful Georgian building and Coach House as well as create a minimalist and functional space for use by all tenants.

our client wanted to retain the basic layout of the garden to keep costs down but place importance on bedding and fully grown specimens to give the feel of an established garden. The space also needed to work as a breakaway area for the office tenants of the Georgian building and Coach House while also providing a comfortable and accessible weekend space for the Apartment tenants.

Project details

This project took a total of 2 weeks to complete once we broke ground, 4 weeks from when we first met with the client. We kept a similar layout to the garden but put focus on the bedding and patio centre of the garden to create a social space for the Client and the end users. Our landscaper used more mature planting to create an established feel to the garden. This meant an increased budget for specimens and planting but it creates a much more pleasant feel to the space.

We created a Design Plan and Specification for this Garden re-design and using a Contract Landscaper this project was completed to a very high standard within a restricted timeframe. The budget for this project was reasonable but had to include all bedding and plants, patio and gravel, timber as well as garden lighting and a new handrail for the steps.

The finished product is a stunningly beautiful enclave in the heart of Dublin City.
